Winchester Hospital's Community Health Needs Assessment survey link
"Winchester Hospital is conducting its triennial Community Health Needs Assessment. As part of the community engagement process for the assessment, Winchester Hospital is asking community organizations and residents to complete our survey and to spread the survey link widely through your distribution channels: jsi.com/BILHsurvey2021. The information from this survey, as well as focus groups, interviews, and other data, will allow Winchester Hospital to prioritize the health needs of the communities served by the hospital and develop programs and policies to address these needs. Hearing from local residents is critical to this process.
Please complete the survey and distribute this widely to your distribution lists if possible. jsi.com/BILHsurvey2021. The surveys will be confidential, and respondents will have the opportunity to enter into a drawing for a $100 gift card. It should take about 15 minutes to complete. The survey is open from now until November 15.

24 October is World Polio Day!
|
As World Polio Day approaches, the Rotary community is getting ready to amplify our message about eradicating polio to protect the world’s children from this devastating disease.
Together, we’ve made tremendous progress. Now it’s time to intensify our fight to make polio the second human disease ever to be eradicated. Last year, the World Health Organization’s African region was certified free of wild poliovirus, showing that eradication is possible even in very difficult circumstances. The wild poliovirus remains endemic in just two countries: Afghanistan and Pakistan. We can use World Polio Day to advocate for the support we need to end polio in countries where it still paralyzes children.
Inspire action
Take action for World Polio Day by promoting the importance of polio eradication, raising funds, and planning events. Let’s engage our communities in the fight against polio — because as long as polio exists anywhere, it remains a threat everywhere.

From Winchester's Board of Health:
More is being learned about the Delta variant, which is why guidance continues to change. Winchester is part of Middlesex County and is now considered a "substantial" coronavirus transmission area by CDC. Indoor mask wearing is advised for all, including vaccinated people. The vaccine is highly effective at preventing severe illness, hospitalization, and death, but transmission can occur. Because of a recent increase in Winchester COVID cases, the dashboard updates are back to weekly. The dashboard can be found here STAY HOME IF SICK - GET TESTED IF HAVE COVID LIKE SYMPTOMS!
